The Occupational Safety and Health Act created three federal agencies for administration and enforcement and is the primary agency created for enforcement of the Act. The three agencies are the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), and the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission (OSHRC).
