Force majuere clauses deal with unexpected changes in governmental or other political environments, so the effects of war or changes in commerce due to a change in ruling governments can be described in advance in the contract without leaving the parties uncertain of these effects. This method is normally more beneficial to the parties than the delay and the uncertainty of a court decision on these kinds of changes.
