Answer to Question 1

False

Answer to Question 2

An infarct is an area of tissue breakdown caused by lack of adequate blood flow due to a clot plugging the vessels feeding that tissue. An infarct is not inevitable, because if alternative pathways exist for the blood flow, the tissue can still obtain sufficient blood flow to prevent tissue breakdown.
