Answer to Question 1

ANS: A
CSF is reabsorbed through a pressure gradient between the arachnoid villi and the cerebral ve-nous sinuses. CSF absorption does not occur in the epidural foramina, the lateral apertures, or the choroid plexuses.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: D
Endothelial cells in brain capillaries, with their intracellular tight junctions, are the sites of the BBB. Supporting cells include astrocytes, pericytes, and microglia. Schwann cells provide struc-tural support and nutrition for the neurons. Oligodendrocytes form the myelin sheaths.
