Answer to Question 1

ANS: A
A genetic defect in C1 esterase inhibitor (C1 INH deficiency) results in hereditary angioedema. Hereditary angioedema is due to C1 esterase inhibitor, not neutrophils. Carboxypeptidase de-grades kinins. Plasmin is associated with clots.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: A
Bradykinin increases vascular permeability. It is not associated with vasoconstriction, stimulating the clotting system, or increasing degradation of prostaglandins.
