Answer to Question 1

Because capillary blood has a slightly higher value for the glucose level, the glucose values of the tolerance will vary. This will give confusing results to the physician.

Answer to Question 2

When the sample was collected at 11:00, the level of dosage in the patient was already on the decline. By stating that the blood was drawn at 10:30, the phlebotomist will lead the pharmacist to think that the dosage was at the peak. The pharmacist will think that the dosage was not enough, and then the next dosage for the patient will be increased. This could possibly result in an overdose for the patient's next dose.
