Szary cells are found in the peripheral blood in Szary syndrome, a variant of mycosis fungoides. This is the most common cutaneous lymphoma. The immunophenotype is similar to that of T cells found in the skin. The cells have a cerebriform, clefted nucleus.

Burkitt lymphoma cells are lymphocytes with a round nucleus and very basophilic, vacuolated cytoplasm.
