Answer to Question 1

ANS: C
A polarized light microscope helps in the identification of urine crystals if they have unique birefringent (doubly refractive) characteristics.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: A
Ocular lenses are optically matched to one another and so should not be interchanged with one another, especially not one of another brand. They can and are, though, easily removed for such tasks as cleaning.
