Answer to Question 1

Correct Answer: C

Answer to Question 2

Answer: Gastric bypass involves resection of the stomach. The parietal cells that secrete intrinsic factor are located in the stomach. Without the parietal cells, intrinsic factor cannot be secreted, and dietary vitamin B12 cannot be absorbed properly.
