Answer to Question 1

This varies by school, but students should be able to respond with the correct knowledge concerning issues of absence and tardiness. Besides simply knowing the policies, students should be aware that being absent or tardy is not only a matter of their externship grade or school policy but also a huge factor in how professional their site supervising staff will see them. A one-time occurrence in the entire externship of a late day or an absent day with proper notification will not usually affect the site manager/staff's view of the extern, but habitual late days and no-shows are unacceptable.

Answer to Question 2

emotional
