Answer to Question 1

Clean the lenses following each use, wipe the stage with a soft cloth and return it to its original position, unplug to cord and wrap loosely around the base, and cover the microscope for storage.

Answer to Question 2

Isopropyl alcohol is used to disinfect rubber items such as vials and stethoscopes. Ethyl alcohol is used to clean glass thermometers.
