All of the following statements about heparin sodium are true except:
 A) Heparin may be given IM, IV, or SC.
  B) Heparin may be used during open heart surgery or dialysis.
  C) Heparin may be used in the treatment of deep venous thrombosis.
  D) Patients taking heparin should be warned to watch for ecchymosis, petechiae, or black tarry stools.
