Answer to Question 1

Pharmaceutical representatives commonly visit medical offices with the intent of meeting with physicians. These representatives showcase the latest drugs on the market and, as a marketing tactic, they often leave samples for physicians to dispense to patients. By using these free samples, physicians are able to give medications to patients for on a short-term basis. This can be very helpful to patients who face a financial barrier when purchasing expensive prescription medications. Physicians may also use these drug samples for patients as a trial before writing a prescription for the medication. They may also believethat by leaving free samples of expensive name-brand drugs, there is a higher likelihood physicians will prescribe these name-brand medications instead of less-expensive generic brands.

Answer to Question 2

C.The patient can direct themselves to the correct party
