Answer to Question 1

B
The administration of immune globulin will build up his immediate defenses. As a delivery man, he would be considered to be in a high-risk group for animal bites and should be advised to ac-quire the vaccine, but the vaccine will not be of any use to him at this point. IV fluids are not likely indicated unless blood loss was severe.

Answer to Question 2

C
Because the victim can cough and speak, the airway is not compromised and can make an effort to clear the foreign matter by coughing. The Heimlich maneuver can be initiated at such a time that the victim's airway becomes occluded. The patron should not attempt to drink or eat until the foreign matter is cleared.
