Skin should be kept as moist and pliable as possible. Humidifiers increase moisture in the envi-ronment. Use and application frequency of lubricating lotions and creams should be approved by the dermatologist before recommending. Drying solutions like alcohol and heat can increase discomfort of psoriasis.
