Answer to Question 1

3
The function of the erythrocyte or red blood cell is to transport oxygen from the lungs to the cells of the body. With a low red blood cell count, the nurse should assess the client's respiratory status. The urine output, bowel sounds, and consciousness may or may not be affected by the decrease in red blood cells.

Answer to Question 2

2
Primary care services are often provided in free-standing facilities and provide early assessment and treatment of non-acute illnesses. Preventive care services include education, healthy lifestyle support, and inoculations. Secondary care services include emergent and intermediate care. Tertiary care services include high-tech and critical care.
