Answer to Question 1

Correct Answer: 2, 3
With PMS women may have pain from headaches (migraines), menstrual cramps, excessive fluid retention, breast swelling, joint/muscle pain, and backache. Many women experience wide mood swings during episodes of PMS, sometimes exhibiting self-destructive or aggressive behaviors toward others. These mood swings can interfere with a woman's ability to manage her responsibilities at home or at work. Self-esteem, body image, and sexual dysfunction are not associated with PMS.

Answer to Question 2

Correct Answer: 1, 3, 5
Surgical intervention is based on using the least invasive method that provides effective relief, beginning with therapeutic D&C, then endometrial ablation, and, lastly, hysterectomy. Laparoscopy is not indicated for dysfunctional uterine bleeding. Administering hormonal agents is not a surgical procedure.
