Answer to Question 1

Correct Answer: 2
Doll's-eye movements are reflexive movements of the eyes in the opposite direction of head rotation. As LOC and brainstem function deteriorates, this reflex is lost, the eyes fail to turn together and remain fixed as the head is turned causing an absence of this reflex. Eye movement upward with passive flexion of the neck and downward with neck extension (not opening and closing of the eyes) is a normal oculocephalic reflex indicating brain function. Pupils fixed and dilated does not describe doll's-eye movements.

Answer to Question 2

Correct Answer: 1
Propranolol hydrochloride (Inderal) is a beta-blocker that prevents dilation of vessels in the pia mater and inhibits serotonin uptake. Acetaminophen (Tylenol) is not identified as a medication used to treat migraines. Sumatriptan (Imitrex) and zolmitriptan (Zomig) are taken once the migraine starts.
