Answer to Question 1

Correct Answer: 4
Oxygen is carried in the blood either bound to hemoglobin or dissolved in the plasma. Oxygen is not very soluble in water, so almost all oxygen that enters the blood from the respiratory system is carried to the cells of the body by hemoglobin. Each hemoglobin molecule is made of four polypeptide chains, and each chain is bound to an iron-containing heme group. The iron groups are the binding sites for oxygen; each hemoglobin molecule can bind with four molecules of oxygen. A low iron count is not generally associated with increased carbon dioxide in the blood, nausea, or anxiety.

Answer to Question 2

Correct Answer: 1
Allergies may be indicated by watery nasal drainage, pale turbinates, and polyps on the turbinates. Drainage from an infection or a sinus infection would be colored and thicker. Perforation of the septum may occur with chronic cocaine abuse.

Although the Roman numeral for the number 4 has always been taught to have been "IV," according to historians, the ancient Romans probably used "IIII" most of the time. This is partially backed up by the fact that early grandfather clocks displayed IIII for the number 4 instead of IV. Early clockmakers apparently thought that the IIII balanced out the VIII (used for the number 8) on the clock face and that it just looked better.
