Answer to Question 1

Correct Answer: 1
After percutaneous coronary revascularization clot particles can migrate leading to a stroke. Plaque inside a coronary artery would travel downstream and lodge in a smaller vessel in the heart. Heart failure does not cause a stroke. Stating that no one knows what causes strokes is not a true statement; blood clots and ruptured vessels cause strokes.

Answer to Question 2

Correct Answer: 1
Cigarette smoking is the leading independent risk factor for coronary heart disease. Diet and exercise management are important but not as significant a factor as smoking.
