Answer to Question 1

Correct Answer: 3,5,1,2,4
The patient should be prepared to give as exact a family history as possible so that a detailed three-generation pedigree can be constructed. During the appointment, a genetic clinical nurse, genetic counselor, and/or a physician will perform an initial interview with the patient. A geneticist will examine the patient in order to establish an accurate diagnosis. Tests may be ordered. After the exam and the completion of any applicable testing, the geneticist and/or genetic counselor will discuss the findings with the patient and make recommendations.

Answer to Question 2

Correct Answer: 1

A normal or unaltered form of a gene is known as wild-type. Wild-type genes are not abnormal with limitations, defective, or unexpected.
