Abnormal findings of the mouth include temporomandibular joint tenderness, inflammation of gums, missing teeth, dental caries, ill-fitting dentures, and mouth odor. The skin should be observed for pigmentation, lesions, striae, scars, petechiae, signs of dehydration, and venous pattern.
