Answer to Question 1

Answer: D

For mild hypothermia, or a body temperature of 90-95 F, use warm blankets. For severe hypothermia, use a hyperthermia blanket. Warm soaks to extremities will not raise the client's body temperature and might cause chilling. Providing warm fluids is beneficial but not enough to raise the client's body temperature.

Answer to Question 2

Answer: B

Evidence of successful treatment for hypothermia is a heart rate of 72 and regular. The other findings indicate a continued low body temperature.
