Answer to Question 1

Correct Answer: 1,2

Deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism are both classified as venous thromboembolisms. A coronary artery thrombosis is an arterial thromboembolism, not a venous thromboembolism. Aortic aneurysm is not a thromboembolism but a weakening of the aortic artery. A myocardial infarction is the damage or death of heart muscle from the sudden blockage of the coronary artery by a blood clot.

Answer to Question 2

Correct Answer: 1,2,3,4

Assessment findings that indicate peritonitis that require health care provider notification include fever, nausea, vomiting, and redness or pain at the exit site. Anuria is not an assessment finding associated with peritonitis that requires health care provider notification.
