Answer to Question 1

Many of the more successful tribes
also make substantial charitable donations for social services in their own communities.
With the increasing number of convenient casinos on regular state land and now Internet
gambling, this reliable economic benefit is threatened. In considering the ethics of the
expansion of Internet gambling, how do these substantial consequences for Native
Americans affect your reasoning?

Answer to Question 2

Supporters point to additional
state tax revenue needed for public services and insist that individuals should be free to
pursue gambling, if they wish. With the addition of online gambling, the potential for
abuse as well as additional tax revenue should escalate significantly in the coming
years. With this expansion, do you believe that gambling should still be considered a
victimless crime? Does the availability of legalized gambling on mobile devices, along
with existing casinos and lotteries change your reasoning in any way? If so, why?
