Answer to Question 1

The conduction system of the heart starts with the sinoatrial node (SA), which initiates the electrical impulse to begin each heartbeat. Then electrical impulse travels to the atrioventricular node (AV), to the bundle of His, and then down the right and left bundle branches in the interventricular septum. At the apex of the heart, the right and left bundles separate, and the electrical impulse spreads across the ventricles in a network of nerves called the Purkinje fibers.

Answer to Question 2

tympanic
