There is a gradual decline in mental abilities, with forgetfulness, inability to learn new things, inability to perform daily activities, and difficulty making decisions. Dementia can also include personality changes, anxiety, irritability, poor judgment, impulsiveness, hostility, combativeness, depression, and delusions.
