Supported by?  The Economy is the issue more voters list as their number one priority, regardless of party affilation

Democrats favor: the right to choose with regards to abortion, stem-cell research, further restrictions on gun control, environmentalism, gay marriage, the removal of the death penalty, and a time-table for the withdrawal of troops from Iraq.
