I shouldn't have to say this, but to answer your question: Because he won the nomination!  (Or rather, will soon.)

This is what happens after a primary.  The candidates of a given party come together and rally behind the winner of the primary, ideally speaking.

Look, if you want to cast a protest vote, don't vote for McCain.  Vote third party; that will send a rather pointed message to the major party on the side you voted for.  The major parties WATCH minor parties; that's part of how we keep the two-party system.  When a minor party starts to win votes, the major party on that side starts shifting its policy in that direction to poach votes off the minor party.  And it works.

It is because as democrats we need to unite before the Republicans take over and ruin our country even further.  Those few Hillary supporters that were really crazy (hissing every time Obama's name was mentioned is indeed lame) need to let it go so we can move forward and win this damn election.  Time to bring our troops home, and try to throw out the "safe polices" so we can actually get some positive things done for a change.  I don't understand why everyone has become so complacent.  Oh heaven forbid we try something different for a change!  Let's give something new a chance.  I'm all for breaking the mold, because doing the same damned thing sure isn't working!

Oh and Congress is going to do nothing to "reign McCain in".  That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.  They sure haven't done anything substantial to stop Bush's raving lunacy. Please.   Democrats stop with the vengeance march and support our party.

The whole way this issue has been framed by the Obama camp and a lot of the media is misleading.  They try to paint a picture of hysterical or bitter women throwing tantrums.  I'm a Hillary supporter and I don't have anything to "get over."  Obama is not qualified, plain and simple.  He has skipped more than 50% of the votes in the 143 days he showed up to vote in the US Senate.  And he had an even more abysmal record of "voting present" as a state senator.  I wouldn't even hire him to be an employee.

Obama is dumb enough to believe hillary's supporters were only supporting her because she is a woman, when in fact they did their homework on him and found him to be unfit and way too risky to be president. Even if hillary were the VP, most would still not swing back to Obama. His base of voters seem to be mindless and excuse all the mounting evidence that is out there about him.  He openly distances himself from the muslim voters in this country. If he is not muslim, why does he have to do that? Why no speech on the muslim religion like he did on race? It is obvious Hillary has made a deal with him so he will pay off her campaign debt. Hillary may be so devoted to the democratic party that she is willing to forgive the DNC for their treatment of her, and promotion of obama, however many will leave the party.

Although the Roman numeral for the number 4 has always been taught to have been "IV," according to historians, the ancient Romans probably used "IIII" most of the time. This is partially backed up by the fact that early grandfather clocks displayed IIII for the number 4 instead of IV. Early clockmakers apparently thought that the IIII balanced out the VIII (used for the number 8) on the clock face and that it just looked better.
