Explanation: Gyri are the elevated portions of the cerebrum. Ventricles are cavities containing cerebrospinal fluid. The synapse is the point at which the axon of one neuron meets the dendrite of the next neuron. The sulci are the valleys separating the gyri.

Explanation: Nephr/o means kidney and -ptosis means drooping. -osis means abnormal condition, so nephrosis means abnormal kidney condition. -ostomy means surgically create an opening, so nephrostomy means to create an opening into the kidney. -megaly means enlarged, so nephromegaly means enlarged kidney.
