HTN, a common abbreviation for hypertension. HTN should be expanded to hypertension since this is dictated under the Impression (According to the BOS, abbreviations directly related to a diagnosis should be spelled out in the Impression.) The medication metoprolol should be a clue as to the correct meaning of the abbreviation, since it is used to treat hypertension.
