In order to help decrease the pain after an inguinal hernia repair, the nurse should provide the patient with:
 
  1. A pillow when coughing and breathing deeply.
   2. Ice to the surgical site.
   3. Pain medication as prescribed.
   4. All of the above should be provided for the patient.
