Answer to Question 1

C
Tracheoesophageal atresia is a condition in which the esophagus and the trachea are attached with a fistula that allows saliva and feedings to enter the trachea, causing coughing. These signs increase when feeding is attempted.

Answer to Question 2

D
For a child younger than 3 years of age, the earlobe is drawn down and back to straighten the ear canal and allow the drops to enter the ear canal. The child should be left in a supine or side-lying position while the drops are absorbed. The drops should be warmed.
