Answer to Question 2

A
Parents should not leave the bathroom when the hot water is turned on (or any water is running). The child should be taught to always turn on the cold water first. Heating items in the microwave can still cause burns. Often food becomes hotter after removal, because food continues to cook after the microwave is finished. Pot handles should always be turned to the back of the stove.
