Answer to Question 1

D
The CDC has consistently found that motor vehicle injuries are the leading cause of unintentional death in children younger than 18 years of age in the United States. Drowning is the second leading cause of unintentional death for children under 18 years of age. Airway obstruction is the third leading cause of unintentional death for children under 19 years of age. Pedestrian injuries are not the leading cause of unintentional death in children. It is a significant problem, with most injuries occurring in children between 1 and 4 years.
