Answer to Question 1

B

Answer to Question 2

1
1. Correct. Symptoms of endometriosis can change over time and may be disconnected from the extent of the disease. Major symptoms include dysmenorrhea and deep pelvic dyspareunia (painful intercourse). Impaired fertility may result from adhesions caused by endometriosis.
2, 3, 4. Incorrect. Although endometriosis may be associated with secondary dysmenorrhea, it is not a cause of primary dysmenorrhea or PMS. Additionally, this woman is complaining of dys-pareunia and infertility, which are associated with endometriosis, not the responses in answers 2, 3, and 4.
