The following statements describe fetal position changes that occur as the fetus in a vertex presentation passes through the maternal pelvis. List them in the order in which they occur, with the earliest first.
 
  1. The fetal occiput is even with the ischial spines.
  2. The fetal torso rotates to align the shoulder just beneath the symphysis pubis.
  3. The fetus stretches its neck and extends the head forward.
  4. The fetus flexes the chin to the chest, and the knees are flexed to the abdomen.
