Answer to Question 1

C, E
Feedback:
For a patient with asthma, the community areas that the nurse should assess include environment and access to health care. The environment could exacerbate the patient's symptoms and health care could influence the patient's ability to obtain help if necessary. Religion, age span, and recreation will not necessarily impact the maintenance of the patient's asthma.

Answer to Question 2

A
Mongolian spots are bluish purple spots on the back, shoulders, and buttocks of dark-skinned infants, caused by melanin deposits. They fade within a few years. Harlequin color change is a deep red color over a longitudinal half of the body, pallor on the other half, caused by an imbalance of autonomic vascular regulatory mechanism. Nevus flammeus (port-wine stain) is a permanent, flat, red-purple lesion that does not blanch on pressure. Mottling is a red or blue lacelike pattern on the skin that is a normal vasomotor response to cold.
