Answer to Question 1

A
Feedback
A A red, flat or raised malar butterfly rash over the cheeks and bridge of the nose
is a clinical manifestation of SLE.
B A major manifestation of rheumatic fever is erythema marginatum, which
appears as red skin lesions spread peripherally over the trunk.
C An erythematous rash, induration of the hands and feet, and erythema of the
palms and soles are manifestations of Kawasaki disease.
D Initial symptoms of anaphylaxis include severe itching and rapid development of
erythema.

Answer to Question 2

T
Since estimating the amount of lochia is difficult, nurses frequently record flow by
estimating the amount of lochia in 1 hour using the following labels:
Scantless than a 1-inch stain on the peripad
Lighta 1- to 4-inch stain
Moderatea 4- to 6-inch stain
Heavysaturated peripad
Excessivesaturated peripad in 15 minutes
Determining the time interval that the peripad is in place is also important. Lochia is less
for women who have had a cesarean birth since some of the endometrial lining is removed
during surgery.

An identified risk factor for osteoporosis is the intake of excessive amounts of vitamin A. Dietary intake of approximately double the recommended daily amount of vitamin A, by women, has been shown to reduce bone mineral density and increase the chances for hip fractures compared with women who consumed the recommended daily amount (or less) of vitamin A.

There are major differences in the metabolism of morphine and the illegal drug heroin. Morphine mostly produces its CNS effects through m-receptors, and at k- and d-receptors. Heroin has a slight affinity for opiate receptors. Most of its actions are due to metabolism to active metabolites (6-acetylmorphine, morphine, and morphine-6-glucuronide).
