Answer to Question 1

C
Cytomegalovirus is one of the organisms that, if present during fetal development, may result in acquired microcephaly. Congenital microcephaly may also be seen in conjunction with a chromosomal abnormality; an intrauterine infection such as varicella, rubella, or toxoplasmosis; maternal substance abuse; or exposure to x-rays.

Answer to Question 2

A
A contraction stress test (CST) is performed to evaluate the response of the fetus to the stress of contractions. A CST stimulates uterine contractions for the purpose of assessing fetal response. It evaluates the presence or absence of fetal heart rate decelerations in the presence of uterine contractions.
