Answer to Question 1

B
Covering nursery windows with opaque curtains relates directly to changes in the macro-environment. Light is a major factor in the macro-environment that needs to be adjusted for the well-being of the preterm neonate.Designating time-out so the infants can have prolonged periods of rest, positioning infants in a side-lying or prone position that facilitates flexion, and facilitating kangaroo care with the parents of the infant alter the micro-environment.

Answer to Question 2

C
Maternal chlamydial infection can result in neonatal pneumonia. Prevention of pneumonia requires that chlamydia infection be treated during pregnancy. Since the chlamydia was not treated, the mother must be taught how to monitor the baby for respiratory symptoms.
