Answer to Question 1

A
CMV causes mild flu-like symptoms in the adult. Flat red rash, nausea and vomiting, and abdominal pain are not characteristic of CMV infection.

Answer to Question 2

D
Applying a cotton cap to the infant's head will prevent heat loss from convection. Prewarming all infant bedding will prevent heat loss from conduction. Drying infant following delivery will prevent heat loss from evaporation. Using a double-wall incubator will prevent heat loss from radiation.

Your skin wrinkles if you stay in the bathtub a long time because the outermost layer of skin (which consists of dead keratin) swells when it absorbs water. It is tightly attached to the skin below it, so it compensates for the increased area by wrinkling. This happens to the hands and feet because they have the thickest layer of dead keratin cells.

The mixture of cocaine, saliva, and resin numbed the site enough to allow hours of drilling.
