Answer to Question 1

B
A complication of cocaine use during pregnancy is abruptio placentae. Alcohol abuse can result in fetal alcohol syndrome, not abruptio. Because the effects of marijuana use during pregnancy are not fully understood, abruptio placentae has not been identified as a complication of the use of this substance. Abruptio placentae is not a complication of PCP use.

Answer to Question 2

D
Temperature instability and poor feeding are two of the most common manifestations of infection in the neonate. While irritability is a common manifestation, when associated with infection, bloody stools are present in DIC secondary to sepsis.
