FSH stimulates maturation of the graafian follicle, as its name implies. Estrogen levels provide for the thickening of the endometrium. Tactile stimulation of the breast increases prolactin levels. Progesterone levels increase following the surge of luteinizing hormone during the menstrual cycle.
