Answer to Question 1

A
If a student identified that general block was one of the forms of regional anesthesia, the instructor would be alerted to the need for further teaching. Regional anesthesia include the epidural, spinal block, and subarachnoid block. There is no general block; however, another form of anesthesia is general anesthesia.

Answer to Question 2

C
COCs block the surge of LH, thus preventing ovulation. Decreasing tubal motility is not an effect of COC. Progestins make the endometrium less receptive to implantation. COCs cause the cervical mucus to thin.
