Frequency of alcohol use does not have an impact on oral contraceptive use. Presence of a monogamous partner is not a prerequisite for using oral contraceptives.

A doula is a woman who is employed by the pregnant woman to assist her through labor, delivery, and sometimes the first 2 weeks postpartum. The doula may be trained and certified, or she may have no clinical training but be able to reinforce breathing techniques and provide massage or other non-pharmacologic methods of pain relief.
