Answer to Question 1

A

Answer to Question 2

B
Tilting the woman's pelvis to the left side relieves compression of the vena cava and com-pensates for a lower blood pressure without interfering with dispersal of the epidural medica-tion.
The woman needs to maintain the supine position for proper dispersal of the medication. However, by placing a wedge under the hip it will relieve compression of the vena cava.
Oxygen administration will not improve placental blood flow.
The intravenous infusion rate needs to be increased to prevent hypotension.
