Condylomata acuminata (venereal warts) is caused by the human papillomavirus; no treatment eradicates the virus. The usual treatment for chlamydial bacterial infection is doxycycline hyclate or tetracycline. Concurrent treatment of all sexual partners is needed to prevent recurrence.
