Answer to Question 1

A

Answer to Question 2

B
This is a description of a late deceleration. Oxygen should be given via snug face mask. Position client on her left side to increase placental blood flow. Variable decelerations are caused by cord compression. A vaginal examination should be performed to identify this potential emergency. The intravenous rate should be increased to increase the mother's blood volume.
