1. Parents play an important part in fostering the child's self-esteem. Building on the child's strengths and talents and always pointing out the child's abilities increase the child's self-esteem.
2. In trying to build self-esteem in a child, it is important to talk about the child's abilities.
3. Complimenting a child's strengths is important to increase self-esteem.
4. Setting goals for the child to reach at a certain time could lead to disappointment if they are not reached on time. This will result in a drop in self-esteem.
